Lovely Las Vegas: Lake Las Vegas Public Art

The official Lake Las Vegas shops were very quiet (read: closed) during that Dragon Boat Saturday.

I'm not sure if it is the recession (even the Casino MonteLago is out of business) or the event, but I'd think that with the swarm of people visiting and participating in the Rose Regatta, the shops could have had some extra business. Maybe they are just naturally closed on weekends? Let's hope!

Luckily, there were some interesting pieces of art and lovely scenes to enjoy outdoors,
which I definitely prefer to browsing in shops, anyway.

Jules, that place is gorgeous! Oh how i miss palm trees and warm weather. lol. Fantastic boat race too! I'd love to try out for it too. For a great cause! With all those ppl, I'm with you. The businesses could have opened to have extra business! Missed opportunity. Oh well, beautiful scenery nonetheless. Did you have a good halloween?

I haven't been to Lake Las Vegas in awhile. I really need to go take a little stroll out there. It's only 5 min. away from my house. I love to go out on the weekends and listen to the free concerts. I do hope it picks up a little out there.. Your photos look great..

Hi Jules
Love the pics... look fabulous that place.

Chantale: Hehe, I think Quebec is the coolest and you are wishing for palm trees, hehe. At least as for an escape... it must really be that greener grass is always elsewhere ; ).

Had a great Halloween! How about you (I'll have to check out your site for photos...)
Linda: Definitely... if you are that close... take a very mini-get-a-way... walking around all the green and seeing the lake really takes you to another place. Maybe this weekend?
